Frazer Memorial Kindergarten

MOTHER’S MORNING OUT POLICIES

(Some of the general policies in the Kindergarten/Preschool section will also apply to MMO)

(The policies of MMO also apply to our class of Monday through Friday 2 Year Olds)

    • Children are accepted who have reached six weeks through two years of age on or before September 2nd

MMO hours are 8:30 till 12:30 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  If you arrive before 8:20 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, please wait with your child in the Atrium.  For earlier arrival an early morning room is available for a fee of $2.00 per child, per day – 7:30 to 8:20, Room 5113, Bldg. “5000”. The early morning sitter will take the children to their classrooms at 8:20.

Please do not enter the classroom where children are cared for unless requested by the teacher.  Children are generally much calmer when there is a minimum number of parents coming and going.  Sign your child in and leave quickly.  It is normal for babies/children to cry when leaving a parent, but this usually doesn’t last long.  Be assured of our care for each one until he/she is happy.

Please make sure the teachers know each day where a parent may be reached.  Please leave us contact numbers in the classroom on the sign-in sheet (i.e., cell phones, pagers, etc.) ONLY if you will be away from your home during your child/children’s stay at MMO.  The Registration Forms are on file in each class so that we have your home phone in case of an emergency.

Please bring your child/children only when well.  We will not accept any child with a runny nose, rash, cough, or any signs of illness.  If your child has had a fever, diarrhea or vomited they MUST be free of this for 24-48 hours before they can come to MMO.  This will be best for your child and for the health of others in the MMO.  Please help us keep our MMO a healthy place to be.  If your child/children has a continually runny nose due to non-contagious allergies or other symptoms which are persistent by not contagious, please bring a note from a physician when requesting admission.

Please equip the diaper bag with the following when you bring you child to MMO:

        1. Six to eight disposable diapers
        2. Plastic bottles (enough for child’s stay)
        3. Bib and washcloth, complete change of clothes

Diaper bags and bottles should be marked with the child’s name.  A suggestion for this would be your church diaper tag or luggage tag, marker or label tape.

For older toddlers and two’s, please bring a complete change of clothing in a bag labeled with the child’s name.

The teacher will return this at the end of the session.  Please include a (no spill) sippy cup for those using cups.

Please do not allow your child to bring personal belongings to class such as toys, books, etc.  Our program is designed to provide an opportunity for children to learn, explore, experiment and socially interact through a wide range of creative activities.  (We would not want your toys lost or broken!)  It is very difficult for this age child to share his/her toys with other children.

Please supply the teacher with the names of those people who are authorized to pick up your child at the end of each session.  Any changes concerning a child’s ride home must be made known to the teacher when you bring your child to class.  Please do not call the office to make these arrangements.

Once again any child with special needs must supply any equipment or aides needed in the classroom.
